Thieves came to the home of a single woman saying that a parcel had arrived; Escape by tying hands and feet and grabbing gold ornaments
The incident took place in Ramaswamy Layoul of Nanjangudu town where a woman was tied up and robbed of her gold jewelery by breaking into her house saying that the parcel had arrived.
The incident took place when the woman was alone at home at 8:30 in the morning after her husband, a teacher, had gone to work.
Khadeem, who opened the door with a duplicate parcel box and said that the parcel had arrived, while opening the door, entered and threatened the woman, tied her hands and feet and stuck plaster on her mouth and showed her skill. A gold Mangalya saree, a hand bangle ring and another pair of hand bangle necklace hangers from the woman's body were stolen, totaling more than 175 grams of gold.
Nanjangudu police reached the spot and conducted an investigation. A case has been registered and the investigation is continuing.
